There was a time when 1080p Full HD was considered as a trademark. But, today is the time when 1080p has become a thing of the past. Today, we have 4K, i.e. 3840x2160p resolution. Still, 4K resolution on a 16:9 panel is a stuff of dreams, you’ll need to open up your wallet if you are serious about 4K gaming with your rig.
Let your eyes witness the beauty of the virtual world with our pick of the top 4K games.
The new 4K monitors can make newer games breathtakingly immerse, and those extra pixels can even help pump life back into older titles using high-resolution texture packs and mods.
Of course, you will need a sturdy gaming rig and oil it up with a powerful graphics card (or maybe more) along with your 4K screen. If you really want a buttery smooth 60fps at a 4K resolution, you’ll have to opt for an SLI or CrossFire setup.
Suppose you have built such a gaming machine and don’t have some games to play on it, it’s a total waste. But, worry not, we are still here. We have tracked down some of the best games to play on your gaming beast to pull out most of it.
A PC Quote by Gabe Newell
The PC is successful because we’re all benefiting from the competition with each other. If Twitter comes along, our games benefit. If Nvidia makes better graphics technology, all the games are going to shine. If we come out with a better game, people are going to buy more PCs.Gabe Newell
We’ve not numbered them and there is a reason for that. We didn’t want to sin by putting a game in the second place, because every one of them deserves the first place. So, without any further delay, let’s get started.
Grand Theft Auto V
Ohhh GTA 5, what are you? Why are you TORTURING my PC?
That’s what you will ask if you try to play this game with FULL GRAPHICS AND FRAME RATE on your average PC, Laptop. But, if you can afford a muscular gaming machine, you will thank yourself for choosing this game.
GTA V landed on PC back in April, and it’s one of the best games to experience in the full 4K resolution.
If you haven’t played this game, you don’t know what you’re missing. And if you have, you already know that it’s a stunner that will bring you to your knees. And your PC, your laptop for that matter.
This is one of my favorite games and certainly favorite if we talk about open-world games.
It offers a huge range of customization options, including configurable settings for texture quality, shaders, tessellation and more. Ramp that up to 4K, and everything becomes extra special.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Many see it as the best game of 2015, and we are one of them. Possibly the best game to arrive in 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looks astonishing, no matter what you’re playing it on.
But take it on 4K, and it will become a whole new beast. You can add more words like phenomenal, astounding, stunning but if you really wanna feel it, then play it. We’ve never seen the waters of Novigrad sparkle so, or the Skellige islands look so imposing. The mist drifts across the hills in the dawn light. This is just too much.
Try Witcher 3: wild hunt yourself and let s know your experience in the comment section.

Slightly Mad Studios developed Project Cars to be a racer’s paradise. The game is full of authentic cars and environmental conditions, right down to damage modeling, handling and the overall intensity of being on the real track.
4K isn’t only about sprawling landscapes and skin textures. Watching the sun glint off the back of a supercar, or the rain droplets run down the windscreen as you dust your tires on the track at 100 mph, especially in 4K, is a memorable experience.
This is how Project Cars should be played. It puts all other racing games in the dust when it comes to graphics.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (Remastered)
Warfare’s Remastered version had to be better than the previous one. But what we saw is something else. It was one of the finest, of highest quality shooter game we have ever witnessed.
The high octane firefights are nothing short of stunning in 4K. Thanks to its sharp visuals, highly detailed weapons, and extremely detailed world.
Try this out yourself, not because we are saying, but because of it is worth it.
God of War
God of War, aahhh, you must have heard the name. A game rich in combat skills and a really smart plot, in simple words, it’s breathtaking. This well-written action-adventure game, with its surprisingly touching story, takes Norse mythology and gives it a unique twist. Your main weapon in the game is Kratos’ ax, which you can use to hack away at enemies or throw from afar.
It’s only available on PS4, but if you have a PS4 Pro, then you can play God of War in 4K. But, that too with a twisted downside, God of War cannot be played in anything more than checkerboard 4K, meaning it won’t quite approach the graphical fidelity of native 4K. In checkerboard rendering, only roughly half the frame is rendered and the other half is extrapolated by using tiny grids of 2×2 pixels.

Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the largest open-world games ever. Rockstar spent seven years sculpting the landscapes of the Wild West and its frontier towns, resulting in an astonishing level of graphical detail.
If you really want to experience the depth of details of particularly this game, go and get the best hardware available in the market. Then put it on 4k and believe me, you will get a memory that you will never forget.
Destiny 2 is an engaging shooter that—when you step back and take stock of all it has to offer—is absolutely packed full of stuff to do. Shadowkeep is both an entertaining assortment of new activities and a solid base from which the game at large can build and improve.
It is concerned with the space stuff, and if you truly want to feel the visuals of real space, gear it up to 4K.

Assasin’s Creed: Odyssey is an inspiring adventure where you must forge your destiny and define your own path in a world on the verge of tearing itself apart. Find uncharted locations in the vast open world, uncover hidden treasures and split your own way through the entire fleet in naval battles.
The graphics of this game is extremely detailed and immense. It may tear apart your pc if not prepared accordingly. Be cautious.
Final Fantasy XV
Final Fantasy XV on PC runs in Square Enix’s proprietary ‘Luminous Engine’. It comes bundled with pin-sharp 4K resolution textures, Dolby Atmos audio, and the usual raft of Nvidia-exclusive GameWorks features. This includes TurfEffects for realistic grass simulation; HairWorks advanced hair simulation; Flow for combustible fluid, fire, and smoke simulation; HFTS (Hybrid Frustum Traced Shadows) for real-time shadow rendering; VXAO (Voxel Ambient Occlusion) for the best in global illumination, and GeForce Ansel for all your 128K screenshot needs.
I don’t think I need to say anything else. Try it, live it.
